Louvres, also spelled “louvers,” are a type of architectural feature or building component
consisting of angled slats or blades that are spaced closely together to allow for the
passage of air, light, or sound while blocking the entry of rain, direct sunlight, or other
elements. Louvres are typically made from material such as aluminium, steel, composite
materials and wood. Commonly used and types of louvres are ventilation louvres,
sunshade louvres, privacy louvres, equipment enclosures, decorative louvres, fixed and
adjustable louvres.
